Ask the Experts: Answering Your SkinCeuticals Questions

What is SkinCeuticals?

SkinCeuticals is a medical-grade skincare product line founded by Dr. Sheldon Pinnell and Russell Moon in 1997. The entire product line is based on the famous CE ferulic, which was their first product to be released after years of studying antioxidants.

It’s a revolutionary product that incorporates prescriptive medicine in cosmetics, standing by its mission to provide cutting-edge skincare that’s backed with science. The common ingredients used for most SkinCeuticals products are:

  • L-Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C)
  • Ferulic Acid
  • Vitamin E
  • Phloretin

It was then heavily incorporated in most products, but some are added in other specialized serums to compensate for what the skin lacked. This will ensure a youthful and healthy skin for all ages - achieved safely as well!

Where can I buy SkinCeuticals products?

SkinCeuticals products are sold exclusively through authorized SkinCeuticals professional partners. Some of their products can be purchased on their website. Products told on other websites can be counterfeit and it’s recommended you do not purchase through any other website other than SkinCeuticals.

Do not risk buying counterfeit products as it can cause allergic reactions, infections, interference with procedures, erythema, and rash. You can find the list of approved SkinCeuticals here  and on partner websites listed here  . This is to assure you that you only get the genuine product and enjoy the radiance of your skin.

Is SkinCeuticals made from natural ingredients?

Most of the ingredients in SkinCeuticals are found from fresh fruits and vegetables, making sure that your skin doesn’t get irritated or get allergic reactions. While there are artificial ingredients used in the products, it’s only meant to boost the effectiveness of the primary ingredient.

It’s safe for everyone, including most of the products for pregnant women, and doesn’t induce painful reactions from using it. SkinCeuticals continue to team up with the best scientists with varied fields in medicine, biophysics, chemistry and molecular and cellular biology, to ensure safe and effective products.

Is SkinCeuticals medical grade?

SkinCeuticals is a medical-grade product line which means they have to be sold in an establishment with a medical director. It also means they are made with ingredients that can penetrate deeper into the layers of skin and be more corrective to produce healthy radiant skin.

SkinCeuticals go through extensive clinical testing to ensure that all the products are effective and won’t trigger severe reactions. SkinCeuticals ensures that everything is monitored and produced in small batches for assurance of quality you want and deserve. This is to maintain freshness and assurance of sterile products.
